On December 12, 2013, in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, David Kellner, former President of Transport Workers Local 2020 (located in Grand Island, N.Y.), was sentenced to six months of home detention with electronic monitoring and two years of probation. Kellner was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $12,226, a fine of $2,000, and a special assessment of $25. On September 12, 2013, Kellner pled guilty to a one-count misdemeanor of making a false statement on an annual report to conceal an embezzlement, in violation of 29 U.S.C. 439(b).
