On February 2, 2006, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Tim Burke, former Business Manager/Financial Secretary for Roofers Local 42, was sentenced to 180 days of electronically monitored home detention and three years supervised probation for embezzling union funds. He was ordered to pay $21,340 in restitution in addition to $10,230 already paid and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing while on probation.
