Office of Labor-Management Enforcement
The Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) conducts both civil and criminal investigations of alleged violations of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) and related laws.
These investigations by OLMS District Offices involve issues such as embezzlements of union funds, union officer elections, the filing of required reports by unions and others with OLMS, and the imposition of trusteeships over subordinate unions by a parent body. These investigations may result in legal enforcement actions.

August 27th, 2020 On August 27, 2020, in the 12th Judicial District of Jackson County, Larissa Iveson, daughter of a former Treasurer of United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 373 (located in Litchfield, Mich.), was sentenced to two years of probation. On May 29, 2020, Iveson pleaded guilty to one felony count of stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent, in violation of MCL 750.157N. The sentencing follows an investigation by the OLMS Detroit-Milwaukee Office.
