On March 8, 2010, in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, Christina Geathers, former Financial Secretary/Treasurer of Steelworkers Local 357 (located in Georgetown, S.C.), was sentenced to three years of supervised release, sixteen months of home confinement with electronic monitoring, ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $25,444.68 to the union and $10,000 to Zurich Insurance Company, and ordered to pay a special assessment of $100.
