On July 1, 2015, in the State of Ohio, Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, Thomas Wolfer, former Financial Secretary of Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 84729 (located in Fayetteville, Ohio), was sentenced to three years of community control and ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution plus court costs.
